Currently we are working on very hip website for the Radio Show. I have really enjoyed working on this website - cartoon illustration is one of the most fun ways to design.

“Hey Zee. I like it! Very cool. It looks a lot like I have envisioned. My wife thought it looked great too. (she’s worked at ad agencies).“

“We are looking for someone to give our site a cool look and feel. Something that will grab a potential customer’s attention while still portraying a professional look. We look forward to working with someone to accomplish this.”

We were proud to get this project; the image above is the look that we proposed at first:

While I personally love this look client was not completely satisfied. As a web designer, though I have to work with the client not against them. After long discussions we agreed on this:

Our web marketing knowledge helped with this project. We advised the client on how to best collect email addresses, using the ‘SIGN UP FOR NEWSLETTER’ tool.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

“I want a fresh, clean, classy design that has a lot of white space, using purple and one other color (light green, yellow, navy?). I’d like a header with a unique image, maybe something like a cartoon-ish brunette 40-something female in a travel setting. Descriptions that come to mind are jet-setter, world traveler, adventure, etc.

I want to make sure that each page has the meta tags that keep the pages from being indexed in search engines. I don’t want to put a password on the site, but I don’t want outsiders to be able to find it in a search engine.

This MUST be your own unique, original design. I don’t want something very similar to what I could have downloaded somewhere. It must be a cut above all those.”

This is also a rush job.

On seeing the final design, this is what client said:

“They did a super job of designing my website and making it functional to my specifications. Would not hesitate to hire them again - they obviously care about the quality of their work product and customer satisfaction. Communication was always prompt and clear. Overall extremely satisfied.”

This graphic template created for WordPress blogging system is kitsch and cute. This is what client said:

“These guys are great. They did a great job on my website. They did more than what I asked for. I was in contact with them throughout the project. They gave me several mock ups and let me choose and pick different elements from it. Highly recommended. Thanks!”

As we expected we had a lot of fun developing this project. Zee created two characters and a nice mock up for this website.
